Atia Fehmi is an environmental scientist with a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad. She has experience in environmental research, climate change, sustainability, GIS and remote sensing, greenhouse-gas emissions, carbon credits and environmental assessment.
Her research experience includes assessing biomass co-firing in existing coal-fired power plants, with a focus on environmental and economic impacts, emissions reduction, and the potential application of carbon credits. She has also worked on municipal solid waste management, environmental impact assessment, glacier and snow monitoring, and field-based environmental research.
She is interested in climate action, decarbonisation, carbon markets, climate resilience, and practical solutions that support a transition toward more sustainable and low-carbon systems.
