Water Resource Governance Technical Expert on the FCDO-funded Catalytic Fund for Water Resource Accountability in Pakistan at Oxford Policy Management, and formerly Director of Governance and Policy at WWF-Pakistan.
Dr Imran Saqib Khalid is ClimateWatch's External Advisor on Water Governance and Environmental Policy.
He is a Water Resource Governance Technical Expert on the Catalytic Fund for Water Resource Accountability in Pakistan (CF-WRAP) at Oxford Policy Management. CF-WRAP forms part of WRAP, a £30 million programme funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, which supports water governance reform and the scaling of water innovations across federal and provincial government and the private sector.
He was previously Director of Governance and Policy at WWF-Pakistan, and before that spent close to six years as a Research Fellow at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute in Islamabad. He studied at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
He advises ClimateWatch on water governance and environmental policy: the institutional arrangements that determine how water is allocated and managed in Pakistan, the accountability gaps in those arrangements, and how water security connects to the cryosphere and mountain resilience work in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.
