Iqbal Badruddin founded Fridays For Future Pakistan and grew the chapter past 4,000 members. He attended COP26 as a delegate, and his writing for the World Economic Forum was picked up by The Guardian.
He holds a Master's in Climate Change from the University of Waterloo and is completing an MBA at the Ivey Business School, Western University, where he is founding president of Ivey's first AI in Business Club. He spent a year with the Aga Khan Development Network on a $10 million multi-country programme, and led a regional campaign turnaround at Costco.
He came to the operational side of climate work from the advocacy side, on the view that advocacy moves people but not budgets, and that the gap between the two is an operating problem.
