Kamran Ali co-founded Fridays For Future Pakistan and attended COP28 as a delegate. He is a Cluster Head at the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation.
His work covers nature-based solutions and carbon markets, climate adaptation and risk analysis, and corporate sustainability. He has trained government personnel on integrating nature-based solutions into policy frameworks, run more than thirty climate education sessions across Pakistan, and collaborated with organisations including WWF-Pakistan.
He traces his work to 2006, when a flash flood hit his village in Yasin, Gilgit-Baltistan. What he saw there took him from local response toward institutional policy.
